This cake could work for Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Veteran's Day. I baked a 10x12 inch cake and cut it into two triangles. Then I covered them with homemade marshmallow fondant. (http://workingmomwonders.blogspot.com/2015/04/detroit-tigers-opening-day-cake.html)
I printed a picture of a soldier and used that as a guide to cut the black fondant soldier. I used a toothpick to cut the little details. The stars were cut using a small cookie cutter. I just free-hand cut the hands.
